The Village of
OLD SPRING HOPE
Where Nash County's history meets modern living.......
Founded in 1840 with only a post office and boarding house, the original town of Spring Hope came to life. Named for a natural spring located close by, and a 'hope' that it would never run dry, settlers began calling Spring Hope home. In 1890, following the new railroad from Rocky Mount to Raleigh, the town picked up and moved 4 miles northwest to the current location of the Town of Spring Hope. Our new community sits on the spot where it all started and we are honored to bring a village of new families back to the original 'Old Spring Hope'.
